Why not let us scour, card, dye or spin your fleece for you?

For the past 12-years, mainly because no one else would, we have been rolling our sleeves up and processing the fleece produced by our own flock, and by a select-few other small flock owners (The sheep that is, not the owners - we're not 'Heightist!').

Having tried to find a way to make the process more energy, water and time efficient, we've found that you can't!... unless you scale up.  So that's what we are doing.

We've cleared the ground to build the new scour and with the generous support of our Founder Members, we've ordered the VERY expensive equipment that will allow us to spin yarns commercially for the first time, starting in Q! 2026.

So:

Until Q1 2026: 

We can process anything from a single fleece, up to around 50 fleeces, straight from the sheep's back, through Scouring to Carded Batt(s).   

Just buy a £20 deposit to reserve your processing slot.  This is fully refundable, less any processing we have done, and is deducted from your final bill.

To place your order, just:

1. Choose the Deposit option that best describes what you would like us to do.
2. Buy ONE £20 Deposit for each batch of up to 10-fleeces (roughly 20 kgs weight), for example:
   1.  Sending 1-fleece (around 2kgs) = Buy ONE £20 deposit
   2. Sending 10-fleeces (2 Jacob, 3 Southdown - total weight around 20 - 25kgs) = Buy ONE £20 deposit
   3. 11-fleeces (total weight 20 - 25 kgs) = Buy TWO £20 deposits...
3. At check out, give us your contact details and a brief description of the  breed and processing you would like us to do; it could be "Scour & Open" only.
4. WE will contact you and agree a date for you to send or bring the fleeces to us.  We have limited space, please DO NOT send any fibre until the agreed date...
5. We will check the fleeces you send are suitable and confirm the weight received. 

At each stage, we will agree the cost with you, before we start spending your money. 

After Q1 2026

As above, except we will be able to accept and process up to 1.5 tonnes of fleece each month, either as a single batch, or made up of individual fleeces.

We guarantee to return YOUR fibres to you, even if it's just a single fleece.

We will also be able to produce a wider range of products, including:

• Scoured and Opened only
• Carded to Batt
• Carded to Woollen sliver
• Carded to semi-worsted Topp
• Spun to yarn (Lace weight to chunky, via DK)
• Un-dyed or Dyed to a colour of your choice...

• Tell us exactly what you would like us to do
